Cordova Community Preschool
where learning is fun!

Our Philosophy:

Our philosophy is to develop within each child a positive self-concept by educating them through their early years of development, with equal attention and care given to their emotional, physical, intellectual, spiritual growth. We believe a child should be happy, learning to accept life as it comes and be able to adjust to all situations.

Preschool Program and Curriculum

Our goal is to make learning experiences fun and to create a lifelong love of learning. We hope to develop each child’s best qualities. We strive for a well balanced atmosphere. We have four groups of preschool classes circles, triangles, squares and stars. The classes work on the same themes but at a developmental level that is appropriate for each class. We offer a monthly theme incorporating academics, music, art, and Bible lessons for each class on a daily basis. We also encourage problem solving skills & independent thinking. We work daily toward kindergarten readiness skills at each level.

  • A.M. preschool includes a morning snack.
  • Full day includes 2 snacks and a home-style lunch.

 School age and Curriculum

Our school-age program for children offers transportation to select schools in the area and before & after care as needed. During the school year we offer homework club, computers, arts & crafts, Bible and free play.

  • During the school year snacks and lunches are included when the children are on site.

Our summer program for school-age children includes academics, art, music, Bible, computers and more. Daily swimming is also available as well as a variety of other fun activities.

  • During the summer program, Home-style lunches and two snacks are included for full-time students.

We have an open door policy for our families and you are always welcome to stop by. For our new families it is suggested that you schedule an appointment with the director so that we have ample time to tour the school and answer any questions you may have.

We have a monthly newsletter and calendar that highlights the months activities. We also feature a parent bulletin board in our front lobby for shared information.

We also have a back to school parent night in September for our current & prospective families to visit our classrooms and share fellowship.

Our Christmas and graduation programs each year are very popular for current students and many former students return each year for the fun.
